tournament rules
spring 2008
fishing hours: saturday 7:00 A.M. To 5:00 P.M.
sunday 7:00 A.M. To 11:00 A.M.
boats with 50HP or less will be allowed to have a 15-minute head start on both saturday and sunday.
tackle & equipment:
artificial bait only is allowed.
all bass must be caught on rod and reel only from the boat during tournament hours.
no trolling, netting, spearing or snagging of fish.
no fishing within 100 yds. of cedar creek cove dock.
an arkansas fishing license is required and available for purchase at resort.
scoring:
largemouth, smallmouth and spotted bass will qualify.
total weight per boat and or largest fish will determine ranking.
smallmouth and largemouth bass must be a minimum of 15-inch in length.
spotted bass [kentucky] must be 12 inches to qualify.
a maximum of 6 fish per boat per tournament day can be weighed in not counting junk fish.
all boats must be back at cedar creek cove resort at 5:00 pm sharp on saturday and 11:00am on sunday.
late boats will be penalized one pound per minute late. all fish will be returned to contestants for release or to be cleaned.
any dead fish weighed in will be penalized one pound.
junk fish will be by weight only.
ties:
total weight will be broken by big bass then by the flip of a coin.
ron misek will handle all protests.
prizes and awards:
entry fee is $165.00 per person. breakdown of entry fee as follows
prize money $25.00
big bass prize $10.00
any junk fish $5.00
balance for food, beer and lodging
total number of boats entered will determine total prize money.
