Top Ten Ways to Have Fun at Cedar Creek Cove Resort

10. Watch the sun set.
One of the great things about summer in the Ozarks is its beautiful sunsets. Treat yourself to more than a quick glimpse. Find a spot with a view of the western horizon, spread a blanket or lie on your boat, and watch the show. (And if sleeping in isn't a requirement during your vacation, greet the day when the sun creeps back up over the horizon.)

9. Stargaze.
Now that the sun is down, stick around for the night show. Find a clear view of the sky, away from lots of tree branches, and lie back on a blanket or lie on the deck of your boat. The ink-black dome above is strewn with shiny stars. Far from city lights, there seem to be zillions of stars. The more you look, the more you see. It's easy to find the familiar outlines of the big and little dippers, but its fun to identify constellations that are new to you. Bring along a book on stargazing, and look for Sagittarius (the tea pot) or Lyra, the harp. See what planets are showing off in the evening sky. If you watch long enough, you're sure to see at least one falling star. And if you're really lucky, you may catch the amazing show of the northern lights, bands of light dancing in the sky.

8. Watch for wildlife.
Most of us get a kick out of watching the birds that visit our backyard feeder, but if you live in the city, the variety of feathered guests is pretty limited. In the Ozarks, with their habitats of woods and water, there's a much better chance of seeing something new and exciting. There's also a good chance of spotting deer, or other wildlife, or hearing coyotes howl in the distant.

7. Explore the trails.
Take a hike in the woods, take a deep breath & smell the clean air, feel the gentle breezes flowing through the cedar trees native to the Ozarks. Explore the many miles of Mark Train Natural Forest by walking, biking or four wheeling.

6. Meet new folks.
Chances are you'll meet some new friends at a Cedar Creek Cove. Often, camaraderie develops among the guests, especially at smaller resorts, like ours, where they might gather on the dock or by someone’s bonfire. Many families book the same time at the same resort each summer, and see summer friends there who do the same thing. The smaller resort atmosphere gives that feel of an “at home setting”.

5. Go fish.
Toss in a line; try for some of those bass that made Bull Shoals famous. There are plenty of Largemouth, Kentucky, & Smallmouth. There are also walleye, huge Crappie, pan fish & Catfish. But the truth is, the fish themselves are only part of the lure. Lazing in a boat out on the water, without a care in the world except responding to a nibble on your line-that's what it's all about for many casual anglers.

4. Play in the water.                                                                                                                                                     Being in the water a good part of the time is part of the deal when on vacation. Enjoy the crystal clear waters of Bull Shoals. Relax in the sun; dive off the swim deck or from the many cliffs around the lake. If that sounds like too much work, just float around the cove on your favorite raft.

3.GoBoating                                                                                                                                                                               Get in your boat, or rent a boat & cruise Bull Shoals Lake. There are a 1, ooo miles of shoreline to explore in its natural beauty. Go skiing, tubing, or parasailing.  Barbeque on a pontoon. Canoe or use a paddleboat to get back in the lakes quiet & secluded coves. A customer once said to me” that a day boating on Bull Shoals is like a day visiting heaven.”

2. Hang out with family and friends.
When you ask people what they most wish they had more time to do, it's usually to spend more time with family and friends. This means "Quality time" not TV time, not rushing to the kids' soccer. Being at the lake gives the family a chance to be together for several days and enjoy each other's company. A stay at Cedar Creek Cove is a great chance for couples and families to reconnect. Our resort has also become a favorite place to hold reunions of extended family or groups of old friends. Our resort offers two bedroom duplexes that connect and then open up to a full 4 bedroom 2 full bath unit. Cedar Creek Cove offers plenty of places to hang out together as a group, with a variety of activities to keep everyone entertained.

And the number one way to have fun at Cedar Creek Cove Resort is……

1. Relax, hang out, & do nothing ………..
Do all those fun things we just told you about, but save time to hang out & do nothing. We're so used to schedules and agendas, cell phones and computers sometimes we forget to let go of them and just enjoy a nap,  or just stare into space…….doing nothing.

Hope you have a great time on your vacation…….
